EquiReason
MCP connector

Use EquiReason in ChatGPT and Claude

Ask your assistant about a US company and get the filed record behind the answer — statements, filings, insider trades and fund holdings — with a link to the source. Sign in with your EquiReason account and it also gets the research your plan includes.

Server address

https://api.equireason.com/mcp

Remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP. Without signing in it serves what is already public on equireason.com. Signing in uses your EquiReason account (OAuth): you approve the assistant once, and what it can read follows your plan — the same as on the website.

How to connect

  • Claude: find EquiReason in the connectors directory, or add it yourself as a custom connector with the address above.
  • ChatGPT: find EquiReason in the app directory, or, with developer mode on, add the address above as a custom connector.
  • Any other MCP client: point it at the address above.

What you can ask

  • Which companies cut their guidance this week, and what exactly did they say?
  • Has any insider at Nvidia bought shares outside a trading plan recently?
  • What did Berkshire Hathaway add or sell in its latest 13F?
  • Show me Apple's revenue by segment and its last three filings.
  • Which market trends are you following, and what would end the AI-adoption one?

Tools

Every tool is read-only. Each answer includes the EquiReason page it came from, so you can check it.

  • search_companies — Find a company by ticker or name; returns its ticker, sector and EquiReason page.
  • get_company — A company's filed record: annual income and cash-flow lines from SEC XBRL, revenue mix by reported segment, the latest 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings with plain-language summaries, Form 4 insider trades (planned or not), 13F holder counts by quarter, risk-factor changes and earnings-call dates. Signed in, it adds your plan's research: the verdict and its reasons, what would change it, the confirmation checklist, valuation, prices and analyst estimates.
  • list_filing_events — Companies with a given event in the last 7 days or an earlier week: guidance raised or cut, unplanned insider buying, executive changes, acquisitions, buybacks, layoffs.
  • list_funds — The institutional investors we track, with their latest 13F period and reported value.
  • get_fund_holdings — A tracked fund's latest 13F: positions, what changed against the prior quarter, and exits.
  • list_trends — The market trends we follow, with how many companies' filings describe each.
  • get_trend — One trend: the industries it supports, its knock-on effects and their lag, and the conditions that would end it.
  • get_opportunities — Signed in: companies ranked by verdict, with band, score, the matched trend and the evidence count — optionally for one trend.

What depends on your plan

Without an account: the filed record only — no prices, scores or verdicts. With an account: the research your plan includes, exactly as on the website. No plan includes buy or sell recommendations: EquiReason is research, not investment advice.

Privacy

The connector receives only what your assistant sends to a tool, such as a ticker or a fund name, and — if you connected your account — an access token we use only to apply your plan. It does not receive your conversation. What a tool was asked is not stored; like any web server, it logs the request line and the connecting network address for reliability. See the privacy policy.
