Everything needed to describe EquiReason accurately

Official boilerplate at three lengths, verified figures, brand assets, and a plain statement of what EquiReason is not. All of it is free to reuse with attribution — and we would rather you copied this than paraphrased it, because a consistent description is how an entity gets recognised as one thing.

Boilerplate

One line

for tagline fields

EquiReason is an equity research platform that traces market events through the economic mechanisms that carry them to the companies whose reported revenue actually sits in their path.

Short

≈ 50 words, for short-description fields

EquiReason is an equity research and trend-detection platform. It reads SEC filings, earnings transcripts, macro data and positioning, traces each market event through the economic mechanism that carries it, and distinguishes exposure measured from reported segment revenue from clearly labelled proxies — showing the evidence behind every conclusion.

Long

≈ 120 words, for about sections and press

EquiReason is an equity research and trend-detection platform for investors who want to know which companies a market change actually reaches, and why.

It reads primary sources directly — 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings, Form 4 insider transactions, 13F institutional holdings and XBRL financial data from SEC EDGAR, alongside earnings transcripts, macroeconomic series, government contract awards and market positioning. Each event is traced through the economic mechanism that carries it, from first-order effect to second- and third-order beneficiaries. Exposure is measured against reported segment, product or geographic revenue when the company discloses it; otherwise the result is explicitly labelled as a proxy and cannot carry the highest evidence tier.

Every conclusion carries its evidence and its provenance. Calls are timestamped when made and measured forward, never backfilled.

EquiReason is a research and decision-support tool. It does not provide investment advice.

What makes it different

Exposure is verified, not asserted

Reported segment, product or geographic revenue is the strongest exposure evidence. Where direct reporting is unavailable, the result is labelled as a proxy and cannot carry the highest evidence tier; a theme mention or shared sector alone is not treated as proof.

Events are traced through a mechanism

Each market event is followed along its economic path, including second- and third-order effects and the lag before each arrives, rather than being matched to companies by keyword.

The reasoning is shown, not hidden behind a score

Conclusions are expressed in one consistent language — mechanism, evidence tier, macro gate, decision tier — with the supporting evidence attached and its source, period and filing tag recorded.

Calls are measured forward

Every decision is timestamped at the moment it is produced and evaluated against what happened next. History is never rewritten by adding data after the fact.

The system states what would break the thesis

Falsifiers are recorded before the outcome is known and tracked afterwards. A thesis whose falsifiers fire is marked broken rather than quietly dropped.

What EquiReason is not

Stated plainly, because ambiguity about this is a liability for a reader and for us:

  • Not an investment adviser. EquiReason provides research and decision support, not advice or personal recommendations.
  • Not a signal service. It does not issue buy or sell instructions.
  • Not a broker or execution venue. It does not place, route or manage trades.
  • Not a data reseller. Third-party market data is used inside the product and is not redistributed.
